By the time Sunday shows up, everything feels a little all over the place. Clothes are piling up, phone notifications overflowing, and Monday? Just around the corner. It’s easy to either do way too much or nothing at all – but somewhere in the middle is the sweet spot.
Let’s be real though – not every Sunday needs to be a full blown rest. You get four Sundays a month, make two for recharging and two for fun. Balance is the goal not perfection.
When you’re in the mood to reset, here’s a simple routine anyone can follow.
CLEAN UP (JUST A LITTLE)
Nothing too intense, just enough to make your space feel fresh. Think: making your bed, cleaning off that messy chair pile, throwing a quick load of laundry, or doing a quick sweep of dishes. A tidy space = a calmer mind.

EAT SOMETHING COMFORTING
Make yourself something that feels like a hug in a bowl — maybe it’s dal chawal, maybe instant noodles with a twist, or even a healthy chia seed pudding. Whatever feels easy and hits the spot. If you’re feeling it, meal plan to reduce the load of the week. If not, that’s okay too.
MAKE TIME FOR SELF-CARE
Sundays are a great time to slow down and give yourself a little care. Whether it’s a champi (a classic desi hair oil massage), a face mask, a long shower, or taking a moment to really care for your skin – whatever feels relaxing and low effort.

CLEAN YOUR DIGITAL CLUTTER
Delete old screenshots, close 102 browser tabs, delete unnecessary apps and organize your home screen (if you’re feeling wild). It’s a mini rest for your brain too.
DO A QUICK BRAIN DUMP
Write down what’s on your mind – things you need to do, things you’re avoiding, or even random thoughts. Turn it into a quick journaling moment to clear your head and make the week feel less chaotic.

PLAN LIGHTLY
Take a quick peek at your week. Add important things to your calendar or jot down personal and professional goals of the week. Be realistic, don’t overplan – just enough to feel at ease.
WIND DOWN EARLY
Turn off the chaos a little earlier. Read a book. Play music, or just chill without your phone. A calm Sunday night makes Monday feel way less rude.
