    Back To Balance in 2026

    Back To Balance in 2026

It has become a trend to visit the newest hotspot in the city and eat the overhyped dessert that's taking over social media. It is no longer about providing nutrition to your body or simply being hungry. The culprit? Instagram. We are chronically online, doomscrolling and engaging with content that does not serve us.

Between the poor diet and excessive screen time, it is easy to lose touch with what our body actually needs. That is where yoga comes in. Not a heavy workout, but a simple way to bring the body back into the balance it deserves and clear your mind through gentle movement.

Here are 7 realistic wellness habits you can start doing today

    Balasana

    [Child’s Pose]

How to do it: Sit back on your heels, keep your knees slightly apart. Stretch your arms forward and rest your forehead on the mat. Stay for 6 to 8 slow breaths.

Why it helps: Gives your stomach area a soft press, which can ease bloating and calm your system.

    Ardha Matsyendrasana

    [Seated Twist]

How to do it: Sit with your legs straight. Bend one knee, cross it over the other leg, and twist towards the bent knee. Keep your spine tall. Hold for 4 to 5 breaths on each side.

Why it helps: Gives a light squeeze to your stomach and supports digestion.

    Marjaryasana – Bitilasana

    [Cat-Cow Stretch]

How to do it: Come on all fours in a tabletop position with your wrists directly under your shoulders and knees directly under your hips. Keep your spine neutral and neck straight.

Cow Pose (Bitilasana): Inhale deeply, drop your belly toward the floor, lift your chest, and tilt your pelvis up toward the ceiling. Focus on gently pulling your shoulder blades together and gaze slightly upward.

Cat Pose (Marjaryasana): Exhale completely, draw your navel in toward your spine, and round your back upward like a stretching cat. Focus on tucking your pelvis and drop your chin toward your chest.

Why it helps: Moves the spine and lightly massages your belly. Helps with stiffness and blood flow.

    Setu Bandhasana

    [Hip Bridges]

How to do it: Lie on your back, bend your knees, and place your feet flat. Lift your hips upward and keep your shoulders grounded. Hold for 5 breaths, then lower down. Repeat 10 times.

Why it helps: Improves posture, flexibility and calms the nervous system.

    Pawanmuktasana

    [Wind-Relieving Pose]

How to do it: Lie on your back and hug one knee into your chest. Keep the other leg straight. Breathe slowly. Then switch sides. Hold each side for 5 breaths.

Why it helps: Lightly compresses your lower belly and helps release gas or discomfort after eating too much.

Note: If you’re pregnant, dealing with back, stomach, or neck pain, or recovering from any injury, skip these poses or check with your doctor first.
